Additional courses that may be of interest
Mentoring skills – 3 hours
For senior care staff (NVQ 3, equivalent or above), although others may find it useful, especially if they are wishing to work at a more senior level in the future
The course covers typical situations that may occur in care where junior/new staff need guidance and support, especially during their induction period or their level 2 NVQ, therefore the course is based around the Common Induction Standards (Skills for Care) that are mandatory for new staff
Consideration will be given as to how evidence for the induction standards can be used for NVQ 2
CIEH Professional Trainers Certificate

This is an 18 hour course which can be delivered over 3 whole or 6 half days. It covers the principles of planning and delivering learning with a short teaching session to be prepared and delivered by the students on the last day
It is useful for those who wish to deliver their own in house training in a range of care subjects that they have experience and knowledge of e.g. those who have completed their NVQ 3 or above in care or equivalent
